United States Ambassador to Pakistan Richard G. Olson offered condolences on the death of former Ambassador to Pakistan Robert Oakley, who passed away December 10, 2014.
“On behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, I extend my deep condolences to the family of Ambassador Oakley. A friend of Pakistan and a statesman with a distinguished career across several continents, Robert Oakley served as Ambassador to Pakistan from August 18, 1988 to August 29, 1991. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ambassador Oakley’s family at this difficult time,” Ambassador Olson said.
