In July 2016, the U.S. Mission in Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) and the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) sponsored an International Education Conference “Mapping Education Conference in the 21st Century.”
The event brought together approximately 200 educational professionals who are alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, and Afghanistan. Harnessing the energy of the diverse group of education professional, the conference provided alumni with tools and skills that will allow participants to make a bigger difference in their communities. Networking opportunities during the conference helped strengthen connections between education practitioners, administrators, advocates, and government officials across the country and the region. The conference provides opportunities for participants to discuss and debate key issues including educational planning, management, innovation, training, governance, and policy issues.
