Health Alert – U. S. Embassy Islamabad, Pakistan (April 24, 2020)
Location: Pakistan (country-wide)
Event: Update #31 – Availability of Limited Qatar Airways Flights
Qatar Airways announced they will operate flights from Lahore to Doha on April 25, 28, and 29, as well as a flight from Peshawar to Doha on April 29. For U.S. citizens remaining in Pakistan who want to return to the United States and are not already confirmed to depart on a U.S. charter flight, please contact Qatar Airways or your preferred travel arranger to inquire about these flights.
These flights are not U.S. government operated or funded flights. Availability and cancellations are controlled by the airline. Please do not contact the Embassy with booking requests or inquiries about these flights. We cannot assist you in obtaining reservations with Qatar Airways.
The current U.S. government charter flights the week of April 20 from Islamabad and Karachi continue as planned. These charter flights are the last planned U.S. government arranged flights from Pakistan to the United States. We urge any confirmed passenger to travel on your scheduled charter flight to ensure you are able to depart Pakistan as planned.
Monitor Qatar’s website for whether these flights will depart as scheduled and whether Qatar Airways will offer any additional future flights. U.S. citizens remaining in Pakistan should continue to monitor flight availability with their chosen airline.
Upon arrival to the United States, passengers will be subject to CDC screening, health observation, and monitoring requirements. For additional questions, visit the CDC’s COVID-19 Information for Travel page.
