CRBA Appointment Procedure:
Please be advised that CRBA appointments for Islamabad can only be obtained using the ACS Islamabad navigator. For all other routine appointments use the regular appointment calendar below.
Applicants who schedule an appointment for the wrong type of service will not be served (for example: the applicant schedules a passport appointment, but actually comes in for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad).
Late arrival will be asked to reschedule. Please allow 1 hour before your appointment time to take the Diplomatic Shuttle from 3rd Ave to the Embassy. A small fee applies for the Shuttle service.
Please schedule one separate appointment for each member of your family. For example, if you are a family of three, each with a passport renewal, please make three separate appointments.
To avoid inconvenience and delay in processing, please download the required form(s) and complete them before coming to the Embassy. Make sure you bring the completed forms and supporting documents on the day of your appointment. Applicants with incomplete or no forms will be requested to reschedule.
Applicants using a DS-82:
To renew an adult passport should use the mail-in renewal program and pay the fee online – it’s convenient and easy. Paying online allows you to mail your application to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate without the need to pay in person. Qualifying adult passport renewal applicants may pay the passport renewal fee online via U.S. or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a U.S.-based bank account, Amazon Pay, or PayPal. Find out more here by clicking “How to mail-in your adult passport renewal from anywhere in Pakistan.”
Arrival at the Embassy:
The U.S. Embassy is located in the Diplomatic Enclave. All applicants must take a shuttle from the 3rd Avenue, Quaid-e-Azam University Road, Islamabad to the embassy. They offer several categories of service at several prices. (The shuttle service is a private company, and the price is subject to change without notice.). There is no parking near the Embassy’s Consular section.
U.S. Visas or Green Cards:
American citizen services staff MAY NOT answer visa questions. If you made an appointment for an American Citizen Service and use it to ask a visa question, you will be asked to return to the Shuttle bus.
