Karachi – U.S. Consul General Grace Shelton engaged with young Pakistani girls at a volleyball clinic held at her residence. Renowned Pakistani volleyball coaches Farah Sarfaraz, Nouma Faridi, and Fozia Naz trained more than 40 girls from Dawood Public School as their parents watched from the sidelines.
“Volleyball shows us the importance of teamwork and inclusivity,” said U.S. Consul General Grace Shelton, speaking to the girls, coaches and parents. “Just as volleyball teams need players with different skill sets – bumping, setting, and spiking – so do communities need people with different backgrounds, expertise, and perspectives,” she added.U.S. Consulate General Karachi organizes sports diplomacy events to promote friendly relations and increased understanding between Pakistanis and Americans.
