USAID Pakistan partnered with UNDP Pakistan to lunch a Business Incubation Program for the youth of the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Islamabad. 180 entrepreneurs from Khyber, North and South Waziristan districts (of which 54 will be women entrepreneurs) will receive month-long business incubation services. The training includes hands-on practical workshops on various business models, sales, marketing, and finance.
The overarching USAID-funded FATA Economic Revitalization Program is providing sustainable livelihood and income generating opportunities to displaced persons that are returning to their homes. The aim of FERP is long-term economic growth that contributes to resilience and economic revitalization of the NMDs.
